I’m obsessed in anything vintage, so you can say this article is partly bias. Like, 50% bias. Or something. But I’m the writer so whether you like it or not, today we’ll talk about this super rad Bluetooth speaker.
I found it whilst digging Etsy for a typewriter (please don’t ask how from typewriters I ended up in speakers.) This is one of the many modern vintage gadgets I’d love to own. So if you want to send me one, please feel free to contact me.
The speaker is basically built with two major parts: the gramophone and the Bluetooth technology. There are many models to choose from and all of them are handmade by Ryan Boase from Greenville. This specific speaker I’m talking measures about 11x7x21 inches. And when it comes to looks? Well, it’s super throwback indeed!
Generally, this gadget mimics the way megaphones work, where you speak into the small end and your voice gets amplified through the large end. The difference is that this is a fusion of megaphone and modern technology.
This Etsy product boasts a built-in rechargeable battery that can be used for 5-6 hours straight, and a wireless range of up to 20 feet. But of course, if you don’t want to do the Bluetooth thing, you can always use the built-in 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with a charging cable as well as an Aux-in cable for the audio input.
If you think this speaker is not as efficient as the typical modern day speakers, think again. Not only does this work as effective as today’s music players, it also gives you that vintage feels no other speaker can give. Yep, I’m so buying this!
